I just got a computer from my friend so I decided to move my harddrive and video card from the old computer to the new, not much of a problem. However when i booted the computer the computer would get to the "Starting Windows" screen and then it would just restart, as if I turned the computer off and turned it back on. I ended up formatting my harddrive and reinstalled Windows 7 and then I put my files back on with an external harddrive but I was just wondering if there was anyway other than that in order to solve that problem. [By the way, I have already tried to do the system repair using the Windows 7 disk but when I tried it the program said that it either "could not automatically repair startup" or that it "couldn't detect a problem". Im saying this in order to help pinpoint the problem.] Thanks you for any suggestions or solutions in advance on this problem.

I have trouble crossing roads...?

Whenever I cross any road that I have previously crossed, I have to cross with my left foot first hitting the actual road as my breath hits the bottom of an exhalation, and at the other side of the road, my right foot must lead onto the pavement as a breath hits the top of an inhalation. If I do it incorrectly, I must cross the road back, and go again. I know this isn't normal, but I deal with it as best I can. My mind would be put at ease somewhat about this if I could categorise my problem. I first suspected it to be OCD, but it doesn't fit the symptoms properly. Cairn terrier claws are to sharp!?

Our cairn terrier is 9 months old and already we have had to take her for her claws trimmed 4 times. She gets regular walks (2 x 30 mins to school every day along the pavement and a trip to the park atleast every other day) yet her nails are razor sharp. she also has a bad habbit that when we are playing she will grab/pull ur leg or arm with her paws to get ur attention but this means she scraps her claws all down ur skin (causing a lot of upset with our 4 year old son). Transferring Text Messages from Cell Phone to Laptop PC?

I have the LG Env3 through Verizon wireless and just found out they have NO program to do this. I do not have a data plan and do not think I need one to do this? I downloaded Bit Pim and thought it was going to work and plugged my cell phone into my laptop via the "charger cord" USB cable - plugged into the phone as in charging and then into a USB port on my laptop. I run Windows 7 on the laptop. I chose Detect Phone and had to manually enter the phone and then clicked Detect Phone and it says no phone detected and no com/serial port. I dont' know where to go from here. I did the Edit/Settings/Select Com Port and all it says is AUTO and says it will detect it automatically. I thought perhaps the port was no good (brand new laptop) and tried two other ports and still same thing. I have some text messages I need to be sure are saved and am afraid my phone will get full or I will accidentally erase them. Can anyone advise? I also tried GODSWMOBILESMS TRANSFER and that didn't work at all. I need some help and soon. Thank you!

I hate those auto flush toilets?

I hate those auto flush toilets, I was just srayed by some digusting toilet water. Eughh. Speaking of auto flush toilets, to think about it they waste electricity using a sensor to detect motion, I was just in a bathroom where EVERYTHING was automatic, the paper towel dispensers, the sinks, the soap dispensers, the blow dryers, the toilets and even the lights. Think about the fact that all these things have a sensor to detect motion; a sensor that's wasting electrictity when it's not in use. Besides the fact that auto-everything is for lazy people and it's so inconveint, the toilets flush when your on them, take more than one flush, u have to use more than the soap and paper towel dispensors give u in one dispense. And the auto sinks barely give u a sqiurt of water before u have to wave ur hands or find some way to reactivate the water, so inconvient and it takes electricity to re-heat the water. Lastly auto lights in a bathroom? Really? So the lights turn off mid dump and u have to wipe in the dark. Jeez whats wrong with the world today and saving money everywhere?! Liberalist freaks. My hard drive is making a beeping noise and isnt detected on any computer. Is it dead?

I just built my own computer and everything was working great for the first day. The next time I tried to boot it up it would not and messing around in the BIOS for hours yielded no results. I heard the hard drive making a beeping noise so I took it out. I have tested it in an enclosure on both my laptop and another desktop and it is not recognized. It makes the same beeping sound about once every 1.5 seconds repetitively. I am thinking it is dead and I am probably going to send it back. Can this be possible after just one day?

Regarding small engines?

I had a bearing failure in the gear box of my Toro personal pace mower. I took out the ring gear and pinion. I replaced the whole gear box and axel shaft as it came as an assembly. Since I replaced it, I can't seem to get the mower to run or go in the grass. On pavement or concrete it goes fine but not on grass. I also replaced the belt. What possibly can be the problem? I noticed the new motors have a different style gear box. Does anyone have an answer to my problem?

Switching from laptop to external display?

I have a new HP laptop running windows 7, my tower was damaged and I have a beautiful wide screen monitor that I want to use. My question is, how do you watch a movie on the widescreen monitor and use the laptop for something else??? This has been making me nuts. I have gone into display options and the only choices I have are extend or duplicate? Anyone know how to do this? I hit detect and identify and it does nothing. I was walking along the pavement when I tripped. The pavement was very uneven and I have fractured my foot. People at the hospital kept saying that I should sue the council. I was wondering if I should really do this and how I would go about doing this if I choose to.

My cat burned his paws! What to do?

To start off, my cat is an in door cat. He is always wanting to go out but we live in apartments and next to a busy road, plus because of the economy we don't have enough money for him to see a vet if something really bad happens. Well, wanting him to get out of the house I put a leash on him and took him in the car to drive some where. He liked it. When we got back he jumped out and ran on the pavement then upstairs to go home. Then I realized he was limping and burned and peeled his paws. Immediately I took some peroxide and put it on the wounds, of course he was in pain, then to keep them clean I dressed them with cotton and athletic tape (not on the wounds put to keep the cotton in place). Later I'm going to get neosporin to rub on them and I'm going to redress them four times a day to keep it clean. The first sign of infection he is going to the vet, but I think I'm doing a good job. My friend's dog had the same problem and they took her to the vet he just said to put peroxide on them and to have some antibiotics (because she ran away and they couldn't find her for days and they expected her paws to be infected). Since I took care of it right away I see very little danger. Can you give me some advice on what to do? Thanks

Webcams and recording?

We have a bit of a thief problem. seems that our till count is short around $20 at times, and though its not much, we can't risk having even more gone. we have installed a webcam on the computer facing the front of the store, and it records just fine, however it only records continuously, while we need it to be be motion detected. having it on like that at night would be a huge save no gigabytes and regular deletes, so if there is any software out there that you know of that would detect motion and begin a screen recording, I'd be really happy to know about it. thank you

if your typing in the password then it should connect. and all letters must be capitals. try again if it doesn't work ring Virgin as the router may be broken. sky are way better and cheaper, virgin is terrible for the money they charge. also my girlfriends mother has virgin and hers is slow and goes off all the time.

Who is an overall in better physical condition shape: An Army Ranger or a High level Cross Country athletic?

Interesting question, my answer may be a little biased since I'm a xc and track runner but I say the runner. People that excel at running don't just "join the team" they "live" running. Good high school runners can run times that an Army Ranger couldn't even dream of (partly due to the different training). If they were to go race a half marathon, no doubt both would finish, but the runner would do it faster and have more energy left after they finish. You would never see an Army Ranger run a mile in 4:20, which is a somewhat modest time for high school track athletes. Its a close call and I don't think there is a 100% right answer because its somewhat of a personal opinion of who is in better shape but just stamina, endurance, and speed the xc runner hands down.

hello a few months ago i bought a 2007 GSXR 1000 with 4k miles on it i put about 1000 on it in those months and it was time to change the oil so i bought royal purple 10w-40 motor oil and a K&N wrench on oil filter. so i changed the oil didn't run into any problems sept getting old filter off no big deal put in 3.5 quarts like manual sayed torqued the oil drain bolt and done rode it around the lot a little then checked oil it was about a half inch above the low line. so 3 days lated i went out for first ride on new oil started it up the fuel injector light came on but when i turned bike off to get manual then back on it didn't come on again i got gas went about 4 miles and when i was in a slight lean my wheel spin oil a lil i didn't think to Much of it but a few seconds after i looked back and i was leaving a huge trail of smoke i cut off the engine asap and pulled over all the oil from my engine was leaking onto the pavement at high rates the oil filter didn't look like it was falling off and the drain bolt was still there i heard no noises or noticed and Performance changes when the oil leaked out WTF happend and how Much money am i looking at to make it go away

it is normal to have to put air in them 2 or 3 times a month. Believe it or not sometime you may have to release a little bit out due to extremely hot weather they will build up pressure,but not often.

Can I make it to Los Angeles in 6 hours of driving?

That interstate is very busy most of the time, but on Fridays and weekends is even worse. Maybe it wont be too bad early in the morning but if you are planning on attending a baseball game keep in mind that once you started to get close to the stadium the traffic its going to be crazy slow, getting parking would take some time too, now add to that some more time to actually getting in the stadium, if you don't have tickets, then you can add about an hour just to buy them, so if you can leave a little bit earlier it would be best thing for you. Take your time and enjoy the game.

Carbon Monixide alarm went off?

Ok, well, i was making eggs on my gas stove, and, when they were done, right when i was about to turn the stove off, my carbon monixide alarm went off. I turned the stove off, and then i went and pressed the button the carbon monixide alarm to turn it off. Now, i opened up the door to get some fresh air, im home alone and im 13, but i do know about the dangers of carbon monixide. I do feel a tad light headed, but im pretty sure thats just psychological. Right now the carbon monixide alarm is flashing green for "operate" and not red for "Alarm" Now, everything seems fine, but im still a tad worried, just incase it did go off because it really did detect carbon monoxide, or if it was just from the stove, but yea. Think everythings alright? And if not, what should i do?

I met with a small accident, my car got skid and I over corrected to come out of the skid this made me hit pavement. Lucky enough that no one was injured. Humming noises as youve described are often some thing simple, id check the heat shield for the exhaust there flimsy and always fall down on my thing causing it to hum away annoyingly! hope this helps,,,,, or some thing more sinister is that a wheel bearing could be off check this by shaking the road wheels once jacked up or any garage should be able to tell you for free but the vans are new so i doubt this would be it

Help Extracting .aud files?

Command and Conquer 95/original/tiberian dawn whatever you wanna call it. I have no idea what the hell im doin. But this is what i have done: (Directory; Which is C:/WESTWOOD/C&C95 and get the "sounds".MIX file. I then use a program called Dragon UnPACKer v5.6.0 Exedra. I open the sounds file on this program and everything is .aud. Now i want to save them and hear the audio pieces but for the life of me; Cannot. Like i double click the certain .aud file and it says "cannot preview" WTF? Help!
